Spiral

I don't think it got as cold as predicted this morning. We went out into a perfectly sunny day. A line of fifteen turkeys trotted by intent on making for the river.

Bed of Nails

The swirling pattern of the cactus spines initially drew my attention. But then the snail caught my eye. It was very much alive and didn't mind its pointed perch.

Great Blue Snail

I happened upon this tiny snail as I was outside during a break in the storm. It looks shiny and new with a shell less than 1/4-inch in size. I let it go on its way.

Tidal Treasures

We hiked along the sea cliffs with occasional descents to the tide pools. Mussels, star fish, anemones, hermit crabs, and all number of creatures were to be found. I could feel tension easing away and the excellent food and person I'm sharing it with helps.

Mondays

Feeling slow and sluggish. The to and fro is changing and I'm a bit discombobulated. Gorgeous weather but I saw most of it through a window.
