A Valentine

One perfect camellia in the soft light filtered by building clouds. Wind picking up. Perfect night to sit with my loved one in front of the fire.

A Moment in the Sun

Downpours interspersed with occasional sun. Raining again now. Suits my mood (which is not so sunny and bright) entirely.

Meet Roy G. Biv

Rain, hail (small pea size), thunderstorms, a faint rainbow, and sun. All today. I was chasing the rainbow but it had almost disappeared before I could get a shot.

Nose Nipping

Ice on the windshield and frost all around this morning. Winter is back. I am pleased.

At the Root

Today's clouds were white and scudding across a crisp sky. The air was fresh and exhilarating. And these seedlings growing at the base of a tree have something to strive for.

Fungus Among Us

There's a real rainstorm going on now and it's cold enough to have a fire in the fireplace. This morning, although it was quite windy, we went for our customary walk. Will snuggle beneath flannel sheets tonight.
